Position Overview
The SPAR Onboarding Analyst of StepStone Group in La Jolla will support StepStone’s Portfolio Analytics and Reporting (SPAR) Department by assisting with onboarding new clients and portfolios as well as maintaining the new investment commitment pipeline for existing clients in the SPI Reporting database. You will report to the Manager of SPAR Onboarding.
Essential Job Functions:
- Support onboarding of new client’s existing portfolios in SPI databases, including data intake and reconciliation
- Enter new investment commitments in SPI databases for existing clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with offboarding process, ensuring smooth data transition and maintaining track record integrity
- Maintain investment committee approvals dashboard and audit SPI database for accuracy
- Assist with internal ad-hoc onboarding requests
- Collaborate with senior onboarding team members to improve processes and tools
- Communicate professionally, internally across teams and externally with clients
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or accounting related field preferred
- 0-2+ years of experience in financial services; Private Markets experience is a plus
- Strong academic record
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to data integrity
- Effective communicator, with strong written and verbal skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and proactive in identifying and solving problems
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and a drive for continuous improvement
Salary - $70,000
The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience. The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
