What will the candidate do?

The candidate will manage a portfolio of customer accounts and approximately 160 monthly shipments, ensuring daily operational execution, on-time pickup and delivery, and proactive communication with customers, shippers, and internal teams. They will coordinate shipment coverage, monitor track & trace, PODs, unbilled and service issues, prepare and share weekly and monthly KPIs for their assigned accounts, and support the onboarding and growth of new business within their assigned portfolio.

About the Role

  • Contact carrier to obtain daily capacity and status of load-tendered; continue monitoring the shipment for on-time pick-up, transit, delivered, empty
  • Ensure correct load status in TMS, e.g., loaded, pick-up, delivery, empty, etc.
  • Notify Shipper and/or Receiver of Load Status and reschedule pick-up/delivery appointments when necessary
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers, shippers and receivers through professional and timely communications and inquiry responses
  • Correspond with customer and carrier regarding detention information
  • Communicate and gain approval for expedite shipments
  • Identify patterns with shipper, receiver and carrier performance and recommend actions for improvement
  • Support the growth of new accounts and opportunities within their assigned portfolio.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in a system related to TMS (tracking or monitoring of shipments)
• Completed bachelor's degree
• English - Email and customer service (Sporadic)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of logistics experience
  • Experience or know of a dashboard system
  • Office (excel, word, ppt)
