This position is based in our satellite production facility in Midland, TX, with full relocation provided (details below).

Position Summary

AST SpaceMobile is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Flight Assurance Administrative Specialist to support our engineering team. In this role, you’ll help keep critical documentation, audits, and project tracking organized in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Your work will directly support the safety, quality, and success of satellite programs. The position operates in a dynamic, safety-critical environment and requires the flexibility to work across rotating day, night, and weekend shifts.

What You'll Do:

Documentation & Organization

  • Collect, organize, and maintain important documents and records for engineering and compliance
  • Ensure files are accurate, complete, and submitted on time
  • Keep logs and tracking systems up to date

Audit Support

  • Help prepare materials for internal and external audits
  • Schedule meetings, organize documents, and support audit readiness
  • Track follow-ups and make sure action items are completed

Tracking Open Items (Lien Management)

  • Maintain a list of open issues, tasks, or requirements that need to be completed
  • Monitor progress and follow up with team members when items are overdue
  • Provide simple reports to keep the team informed during meetings

General Administrative Support

  • Prepare meeting agendas, take notes, and track action items
  • Support data entry and spreadsheet tracking (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Assist with communication, scheduling, and coordination across teams
  • Help ensure tasks and deliverables are completed on time

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable and able to work on-site
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays)

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Associate’s degree or coursework in business, aviation, or a related field
  • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or regulated environments
  • Familiarity with document control, audits, or compliance processes
  • Experience supporting engineering or technical teams

Work Environment

  • On-site role in an operational facility
  • Rotating shifts required (day, night, and weekends)
  • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting critical operations

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to perform repetitive and precision tasks.
  • Ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as required to perform job duties.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including talking and hearing.
  • Ability to work in, on, around, and in proximity to large structures, equipment, and tooling.
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or carry items up to 40 pounds as required.
  • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and equipment.
  • Ability to work in and around tight or confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in environments that may include exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and/or hazardous materials (e.g., carbon fiber).

Relocation Support (If You Accept)

  • Up to $5,000 in temporary housing (first 3 months)
  • $1,050/month after tax stipend after 1st working month on an ongoing basis
