Position Summary
The Accounting Intern will support the day-to-day operations of the Finance & Accounting team and gain hands-on experience across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) processes within a global, multi-entity environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a final-year accounting student to apply academic knowledge in a real-world corporate setting, work with NetSuite ERP, and learn from experienced finance professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Assist in processing vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and adherence to approval workflows in NetSuite.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation; flag discrepancies for follow-up.
- Support the review and processing of employee expense reports and reimbursements.
- Help maintain vendor master records, including W-9 / tax documentation and banking details.
- Assist in preparing weekly payment runs and tracking outstanding payables.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- • Support customer invoice generation, distribution, and follow-up in NetSuite.
- • Assist in cash application and reconciliation of customer payments to outstanding invoices.
- • Help monitor aging receivables and prepare collection reports for review.
- • Support the preparation of monthly customer statements and account reconciliations.
General Ledger (GL) & Month-End Close
- Assist in month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Help reconcile bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts across KMS Group entities.
- Support fixed asset register maintenance, including additions, disposals, and depreciation tracking.
- Assist in preparing supporting schedules and documentation for internal management and external audit reviews.
- Help ensure proper filing and archiving of accounting records in line with company policy.
Other Support
- Participate in ad-hoc projects, internal audits, and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with data entry, data validation, and report generation in NetSuite.
- Collaborate with team members across multiple KMS Group entities and time zones.
Qualifications
Required
- Currently enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 (or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles (debits/credits, accruals, reconciliations, financial statements).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic data analysis).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and professionalism.
Preferred
- Prior internship or part-time experience in accounting, finance, or a related role.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a strong plus.
- Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency, or cross-border accounting environments.
- Coursework or familiarity with US GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Currently pursuing or planning to pursue CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification.

Working Conditions
- Duration: 3 to 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
