Respiratory Therapist II, Per Diem, Nights, 12 Hour ShiftReporting to the Practice Coordinator Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, this position is responsible for administering safe and competent respiratory care as ordered per physician, with emphasis in specialty areas (i.e., Emergency, Neonatal, Pediatric, Geriatric and Critical Care); monitoring mechanical ventilation; administering medications; patient assessment; understanding ramifications of hemodynamic monitoring; understanding blood work results; monitoring, teaching, and training.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Graduation from a two-year AMA accredited Respiratory Care Program or the equivalent training is required.
2. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the NBRC is required. Current SAMC staff with Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRT) and significant previous experience may be accepted in lieu of RRT certification.
3. Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the State of California is required.
4. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
5. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
6. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required.
PAY RANGE:
$36.32 to $50.85
