Job description
Do you love being in the middle of the action? We’re looking for a high-energy Maintenance Assistant I to help transform our venues from empty arenas into world-class stages. From the roar of a sold-out basketball game to the prestige of a graduation ceremony, you are the pro behind the scenes, making it all happen.
The Role
The Transformer: Assist the Crew Lead with setup and teardown for concerts, banquets, and high-stakes basketball games and volleyball matches.
The Heavy Hitter: Handle the big stuff - installing portable basketball floor, building stages, and operating a forklift to get the job done safely.
The Fix-It Expert: Keep the Joyce Center in championship shape using your skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
Safety First: Partner with Risk Management to keep our facilities safe and compliant for our student-athletes and fans.
Who You Are
You’re a "handy" individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’re a team player who isn't afraid to get your hands dirty, and you take pride in seeing a project through from the first floorboard to the final buzzer.
Why Join Our Team?
This isn't just another "maintenance job" - it’s your opportunity to set the stage for the Fighting Irish. You aren’t just moving equipment; you’re the hands-on pro creating the championship-level environment where legendary moments happen. From the very first floorboard to the final buzzer, you’ll be the backbone of a tight-knit crew that takes immense pride in the details and works together to bring the magic of Notre Dame Athletics to life.
