Job description
The Regional Sales Manager (Individual Contributor) is responsible for directly driving sales and revenue growth within an assigned territory. This role focuses on growing dealer network partners, managing key accounts, developing new business opportunities, and executing sales strategies without direct people management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and achieve regional sales quota through direct selling efforts
- Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts and strategic customers
- Develop and execute territory and account plans
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast
- Negotiatie contracts, and close deals
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, customer success, product)
- Represent the company at industry events and client meetings
- Prepare and calculate quotations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Enter and manage customer orders in SAP, ensuring accuracy and adherence to customer requirements.
- Track orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any discrepancies.
- Travel extensively (approximately 50%) to support customers and sales activities across the assigned region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular in-person visits.
- Represent the company professionally at customer locations and during field engagements.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
Work Environment
- Remote or field-based role with significant travel
- High autonomy with minimal supervision
- Sales plus Commissions
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of direct (quota-carrying) sales experience
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong hunting and closing skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Must reside in or near Tennessee or Georgia
