Interior Designer

Job Description:

Hai Hospitality is accepting applications for an experienced Interior Designer for our Home Office based in Austin, TX. We are an innovative and growing restaurant group, looking for individuals who are creative, ambitious, and passionate about food and people. This role iwill report to the Director of Design and help support the design of both new and existing restaurant projects.

Position Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of both existing restaurant renovations and refreshes, as well as new restaurant locations throughout the country. Includes design and coordination of custom furniture, millwork and lighting.
• Communicate design ideas clearly through scaled drawings and details with external partners and internal stakeholders
• Oversee and ensure design standards are maintained at new and existing restaurant locations
• Review and redline plans, elevation, details, and schedules throughout design and construction.
• Help in the selection of FFE that meets the demands of hospitality use while maintaining project budgets.
• Help provide feedback during Construction Administration on RFIs and submittals, substitutions, and field conditions for conformance with design intent.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture with curiosity and willingness to learn and grow

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or Interior Design
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience
• Proficient in Sketchup, AutoCAD and/or Revit, Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficient in Bluebeam (a plus)
• Knowledge of and passion for hospitality design
• Organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to travel occasionally to project sites to support project needs.
