About the Opportunity

As a Customer Account Manager of Renewals at Contentful, you will be instrumental in driving customer retention by managing contract renewals of Contentful’s customer base. You will proactively align with Accounts Executives and Customer Success on account plans, engaging with customers about their upcoming contract renewals, and uncovering expansion and upsell opportunities to drive them through contract signature. You will help to ensure positive customer experiences and increased net renewal retention.

What to Expect

  • Gain insight into customer goals and strategically package the solution and pricing that meet those goals.
  • Uncover expansion and upsell opportunities through the renewal process and drive those opportunities through contract signature.
  • Prepare and present data and trends to customers on current usage of the Contentful platform.
  • Drive customer conversations to uncover details such as procurement timelines, budgets, and signatory processes for contracts.
  • Proactively manage your book of business and meet quota goals.
  • Develop innovative proposals and negotiate contracts.
  • Manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and achieve a high level of throughput.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • College / University Degree highly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a closing role or 4 + years in relevant experience; Renewals Management, Account Management or Account Executive experience
  • “Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales or performance targets.”Ability to think strategically about a customer’s goals and drive renewal and expansion opportunities through to close
  • Ability to present data to customers and drive conversations to uncover things like procurement timelines, budgets, and signatory processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills: shows excellence in previous customer and internal engagements
  • Can track and prioritize work based on deadlines
  • Ability to build rapport with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Well-developed attention to detail and organization skills ie: follow processes, update the relevant systems diligently, and make suggestions on improvements where required
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to customers
  • Dedicated to ensuring customer success, with a focus on mutual growth and achievement
  • Willingness to travel (up to 10%)

Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, the applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, and certain degrees and certifications (e.g., JD/technology).

Salary Range: USD 102,000 - 138,000 (70/30 base/commission split)

[This position is eligible for equity awards, annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards, where applicable, in accordance with the terms of Contentful’s variable compensation plans.]
