Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic plans targeting the right new customers and markets.
- Generate qualified leads through prospecting, networking, and market research.
- Prepare and present bids, proposals, and quotations.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts by identifying expansion opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders.
- Lead customer meetings to review needs, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure a high level of responsiveness and communication throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Drive long-term partnerships that result in repeat and project-based business.
- Collaborate with Engineering & Production to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Provide initial technical guidance and ensure accurate transfer of information to internal teams.
- Support customers through quoting, development, and early-stage production processes.
- Ensure alignment between customer expectations and company capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering is preferred; commensurate experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of Business Development, Sales and/or Account Management experience.
- General Industrial industry experience is required with an understanding of stamping, fabrication, welding, assembly, cutting, or machining environments is ideal.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Basic understanding of financial metrics (margins, pricing, cost structures)
- Experience preparing and presenting sales proposals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
