Job description

AbbVie is seeking a Market Access Value Proposition Manager to support market access strategy across multiple therapeutic areas and help shape access for innovative medicines. This role will work closely with brand teams, HTA colleagues, and cross-functional partners to develop strategic access approaches that support reimbursement, pricing, and future product opportunities. 

Located at our office in Prague, the position is focused on strategic market access work: analyzing the environment, monitoring competitor activity, understanding stakeholder needs, translating clinical and economic evidence into clear value propositions, preparing the access strategy, and cooperation on preparation of price and reimbursement dossier. You will play an active part in brand teams and contribute to preparation for reimbursement processes and negotiations. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects, including early pipeline assessment and access planning for new products and new indications 
  • Monitor the market environment and competitors, and anticipate changes that may impact AbbVie products across multiple therapy areas 
  • Develop and refine integrated access strategies, including pricing and HTA-related considerations 
  • Cooperate on preparation of price and reimbursement dossiers 
  • Define value propositions based on stakeholder needs, local market conditions, and brand priorities 
  • Negotiate with health insurance stakeholders and communicate with other relevant external partners 
  • Work closely with brand teams and cross-functional colleagues to deliver brand objectives 

We are seeking a degree qualified person with approximately 4–5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare payer/provider environment, consultancy environment, or pharmacoeconomic/health technology assessment setting. 

You have:

  • Fluency in English and local language 
  • Knowledge of the local healthcare system and policy 
  • Ability to manage cross-functional projects 
  • 2–3 years of market access experience, ideally in innovative medicines 
  • Background in health economics, market access, or a government/assessment agency 
  • Knowledge of HTA and reimbursement processes 
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to perform basic cost calculations 
  • Familiarity with submission processes and reimbursement requirements

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
