Summary of Position:
Gorman and Bunch Orthodontics is seeking a versatile Orthodontic Assistant / Scheduling Coordinator to serve as a cornerstone of our patient care team. This hybrid role is designed for a proactive professional who is as comfortable working chairside with the doctor as they are managing a high-efficiency clinical schedule and has the ability to multi-task. If you are a detail-oriented communicator committed to clinical excellence and patient rapport, we will provide the training to help you excel in the orthodontic field.
This position will cover front and back orthodontic office as hybrid DA coverage. Day Shift, Full-Time W/ Benefits, Averaging 32-35 hours, Monday through Thursdays, with occasional half day coverage on Friday.
Essential Job Functions

Patient Experience: Establish a trusting rapport with patients and families, ensuring an exceptional and supportive customer service environment.

Clinical Support: Assist chairside with the placement and removal of orthodontic appliances; perform X-rays, clinical photography, and retainer fabrication.

Education: Act as a subject matter expert for patients, providing clear education on orthodontic care, treatment plans, and oral hygiene.

Operational Excellence: Strategically manage and optimize the doctors' schedules to ensure clinic efficiency and patient flow, including rescheduling patients.

Clinical Accuracy: Maintain precise patient records, transcribing doctor notes with high attention to detail.

Environment Management: Ensure treatment rooms are sterilized, organized, and fully stocked to meet safety and operational standards.

Clinical Foundation: Familiarity with orthodontic appliances and equipment is a plus, though we are committed to training the right candidate.

Technical Proficiency: Comfortable utilizing Microsoft Office, web-based platforms, and dental practice management software.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred; however, we prioritize attitude and potential and will provide comprehensive training for the right individual.
