The Payroll Specialist ensures accurate, timely payroll for India and, when required, other APAC or International countries. The role requires a good knowledge of Indian payroll rules, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative approach. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast‑growing, and globally distributed organisation What You'll Do Payroll Processing Manage monthly payroll for India, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. Support with other APAC payrolls as required. Validate and input payroll data including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, leave, incentives, and deductions. Review gross‑to‑net calculations and reconcile payroll outputs. Statutory Compliance (India) Ensure full statutory compliance including PF, ESI, PT, LWF, and Income Tax (TDS). Prepare and support statutory filings and ensure timely remittance of all statutory payments. Monitor updates to payroll legislation and implement process changes as required. Vendor & Stakeholder Management Work closely with external payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services. Provide complete and accurate payroll inputs and review vendor outputs in detail. Serve as a point of contact for HR, Finance, and employees on payroll-related matters. Audit & Controls Support the Senior Manager – Payroll with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and explaining payroll processes. Maintain strong internal controls to ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance. Assist with monthly reconciliations, variance analysis, and exception reporting Process Improvement & Projects Identify opportunities to improve payroll efficiency, automation, and accuracy. Participate in payroll system implementation, updates, and global process improvement initiatives. Contribute to cross-training efforts and support APAC payroll processing when required What You'll Bring Professional Experience 2–3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience within India or APAC countries. Experience within a multinational or shared service environment is an advantage. Proven experience working with payroll vendors (e.g., ADP, BSR & Co., KPMG, or equivalent). Technical Skills Strong understanding of Indian payroll legislation and statutory requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, reconciliation, analysis).
