Position Overview International Motors is seeking a highly qualified New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering Manager to join our San Antonio manufacturing facility. This role is critical in bridging product engineering and manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless integration of new and updated products into production. The NPI Engineering Manager will lead cross-functional coordination, translate engineering changes into actionable plans, and guide the successful launch of new models and components. This position also partners closely with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) to ensure production readiness—from station layout and tooling to pilot execution and full-scale assembly line integration. San Antonio Manufacturing runs a 4x10 production schedule (Mon-Thurs, 5:30AM - 4:00PM). This role will support production and may need to cover production recovery times including Fridays and weekends as needed Responsibilities Lead and manage the NPI team, including both salaried and hourly employees. Collaborate with Industrial Engineering (IE) and Manufacturing Engineering (ME) leadership to implement engineering changes and drive new product introductions. Partner with AME to ensure tooling, equipment, product design, and processes are optimized for production integration. Oversee planning and execution of pilot builds through the Training and Validation Line, ensuring readiness for assembly line launch. Champion and develop a strong performance culture aligned with P&L Way principles. Identify process improvement opportunities and lead cross-functional initiatives to drive efficiency and quality. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of product manufacturing experience OR Master's degree and at least 4 years of product manufacturing experience OR At least 8 years of product manufacturing experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Proven experience with new model launches in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated leadership experience managing large teams (20+ employees), including salaried, hourly, and contract staff. Strong department-level communication and stakeholder management skills. Expertise in change management (required). Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles. Lean Manufacturing certification (Green Belt preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC). Supply chain knowledge and cross-functional collaboration experience.
