What you'll do Docusign has a dedicated Intelligent Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) that delivers enterprise-grade AI and automation solutions using platforms such as UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate, and Azure AI/Document Intelligence. As a Senior Intelligent Automation Engineer, you will be a key contributor in scaling Docusign’s enterprise-wide Intelligent Automation capabilities. You will work at the intersection of business, engineering, and AI to design, build, and operate resilient automation solutions that drive measurable business outcomes with the mix of development and support work. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Principal Engineering Manager, Application Engineering. Responsibility Evaluate, design, and implement automated workflows using UIPath, Power Platform and other leading cloud/AI platforms, including Generative AI and AI agentic automation solutions Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable automation solutions Participate in software requirements reviews, architecture design, and connectivity interface design Develop, debug, document, and release automation software Monitor and optimize existing workflows for performance, reliability, and compliance Leverage UIPath , power platform or equivalent AI tools to accelerate development, documentation, and troubleshooting Ensure all automation implementations meet cybersecurity, AI governance, and compliance standards Explore and integrate hyperautomation technologies including AI/ML, intelligent document processing, and process mining Support proof-of-concepts for new automation capabilities and platforms Communicate technical findings and solution recommendations effectively using presentations and visualizations Stay ahead of industry trends and continuously upskill through certifications and training Work and collaborate with distributed teams across multiple time zones Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Relevant certifications in RPA/IPA platforms, Python, AI/ML, or cloud technologies 5+ years of experience in Intelligent Automation technologies, with hands-on coding and application development; At least 4+ years on UiPath development Strong knowledge and experience on UiPath Orchestrator, Python scripting, Power Automate, SQL, VB Scripting, OCR implementation, AI/ML, process mining, and Azure intelligent document processing Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub/ other version control tools Skilled in integrating applications via web services / REST APIs and infrastructure models like MCP servers Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritizing multiple projects and requests, and communicating needs and results to management Strong understanding of software design principles and application architecture Understanding of the impact of data and digital technologies on business operations Solid understanding of automation data security best practices and SOX compliance requirements, with experience building and operating compliant, audit-ready automation solutions Preferred Exposure to Salesforce, Oracle ERP, OIC, Mulesoft and cloud technologies Experience in product management in a SaaS/ Technology company environment Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate business challenges into technical solutions Proven ability to architect and implement automation solutions at scale Proven ability to learn new skills proactively and apply them to business opportunities Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable working in a global, fast-changing environment Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
