V2X is seeking a Systems Engineer 3 (Ashore) for our Guam location . The position is required to be onsite and requires an active Top Secret clearance. Responsibilities Administer and maintain JRM systems, including networks, electronic security systems, and VTCs. Perform software and hardware upgrades, routine system maintenance, and apply directed security patches. Diagnose and repair faulty system or server hardware. Update configuration control documents and as-built drawings. Manage network rights, system access, and user accounts. Assist in the consolidation and migration of legacy IT systems. Operate and maintain JRM network equipment, including installing or replacing hubs, routers, and switches. Diagnose network connectivity problems, monitor capacity, and optimize performance. Document all network change actions via Requests for Change (RFC) and maintenance logs. Perform network device upgrades and patch network vulnerabilities. Implement and execute network backup and recovery procedures. Assist in the consolidation and migration of legacy IT systems. Qualifications Minimum Qualification: BS in Information Technology (or equivalent technical degree) or 8+ years technical experience in related discipline required. 8+ years of experience with DoD enterprise or Navy networks. Fleet experience highly desired. 8+ years of experience in troubleshooting networks and operating system issues across multiple systems. 4+ years of experience designing, deploying, and maintaining virtual desktop environments, with a recent focus on cloud-hosted solutions. Preferred Certifications: IAT2 certifications required for IA (Security+ CE or equivalent) required. One or more of the following OS certifications are required: CISCO CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX), Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty. Skills: Must be able to troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity, for IT and RF communications systems, involving multiple sites and multiple systems. Must be able to provide OJT to technical personnel. Must be able to read, understand and interpret technical documentation, schematics, SOPs, and other documents relating to the operation and configuration of Navy C4I Systems. Must be able to communicate well both orally and in writing. Must be able to communicate well with senior Navy officials and technical personnel. Clearance: Top Secret Clearance required.
