Senior Full stack Engineer (DevX)

We are looking for a Senior Full stack Engineer for the Developer Experience (DevX) Team at SMG Real Estate, with a strong Frontend background.

DevX is responsible for providing both the tools our development teams use to manage the lifecycle of our product and the experience of using them.

You will get to collaborate and access the wealth of knowledge and experience from a community of amazing engineers who come from all parts of the globe and are ready to share their expertise and aid you in your path to fulfilling your potential.

Your Mission:

• Work with our engineers to understand the challenges they face and how to improve their experience.
• Leverage your own knowledge and experience to help understand how to deliver the best engineering platform and tooling, improving the productivity and satisfaction of our teams.
• Help define processes, frameworks, and best practices for development.
• Support DevX’s Frontend engineers and work together with our Frontend Guild to understand our needs, develop a vision of how to best support them and deliver it as part of our Engineering Platform.

• At least 5 years of experience with TypeScript, either in front or back end
• 2+ years of experience in frontend development with frameworks such as Vue and/or React
• 2+ years of experience with serverless event-driven microservice architectures implemented using AWS Lambda
• Experience implementing pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Experience implementing tests, both for front and back end
• Motivated to help engineers be more productive and have the best possible developer experience
• Strong English communication skills

Your CV will stand out if you have:

• Previous experience in Developer Experience or Platform Engineering
• Experience maintaining libraries and tooling, for example, frontend component libraries or CDK constructs
• Experience or interest in integrating AI into engineering stacks
