We are excited to announce that we have newly created opportunities in our Transformation Practice’s Defence team, located in Canberra. As a client-facing consultant, you’ll play a crucial role in providing the best possible advice, services and support to help our Defence clients achieve their primary role of defending Australia and its national interests, promoting security and stability, and supporting the Australian community as directed by the Government.

We are looking for passionate individuals with diverse backgrounds who can bring new perspectives to support our clients to address critical challenges.

Our Business & Experience team in the Transformation practice provides multi-disciplinary expertise to help clients envision, design and deliver the capabilities needed achieve their strategic objectives.  We work across elements including:

  • Capability definition, design, development​ and costing.
  • Systems engineering​.
  • Operating model design.
  • Business requirements and process mapping.
  • Service model design​.
  • Journey mapping and service blueprinting​.

    For this role we are specifically seeking a highly cleared candidate (at least Baseline, preferably NV1) who is a degree qualified professional engineer with the following essential functional skill set:

    • System Engineer with experience in the One Defence Capability System
    • Experience in the development of the Operational Concept Document, Test and Evaluation Master Plan, and Function & Performance Specification.
    • Experience in defining and managing the system engineering, configuration management, and test evaluation programmes for major project acquisitions.
    • An understanding of Defence technical regulatory/technical assurance frameworks.
    • Demonstrated ability to work as part of an integrated project management team.

    Additionally as a Manager, you will:

    • Lead project teams effectively, ensuring quality and timeliness.
    • Develop and implement strategies to meet client objectives.
    • Manage client relationships and address their needs proactively.
    • Oversee budget and resource allocation for projects.
    • Provide regular performance feedback and coaching to team members.
