We are now seeking an Environmental Technician to join our Leonora operation HSE team. In the role you will provide operational support to the Genesis sites through the efficient collection and storage of environmental data and assisting with environmental management activities.
The Opportunity:
Undertake environmental monitoring in accordance with monitoring schedules.
Undertake drinking water and legionella water monitoring in accordance with monitoring schedules.
Collection, storage, and interpretation of reliable monitoring data using available systems and databases.
Undertake ethical management of invasive flora and fauna.
Maintenance and calibration of monitoring equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and/or compliance requirements.
Managing monitoring equipment stock levels and re-ordering of required supplies.
Assist with environmental studies and surveys under direction and supervision of Environment Team

We’re excited to hear from you if you have:
A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or equivalent.
Good computer literacy and knowledge of data management software.
Demonstrated capability in organising work and exercising sound independent judgement.
High energy and level of enthusiasm for the work.
Relevant experience in a mining and/or heavy engineering environment.
Previous work or applicable experience in remote locations, including operation 4wd vehicles.
