Job description

This role is based in our Newton, New York City or Washington, D.C. office.

We’re looking for a Sales Solution Consultant to join our elite Black Belt (BBS) team. This role is designed for a strategic high-performer who wants to move beyond individual quota-carrying to drive a "Multiplier Effect" across the organization. You will pursue growth opportunities with B2B technology providers in portfolio enterprise tech markets including AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and networking.

As a trusted advisor, you will not only manage your own book of business but also enable and empower the broader sales floor. You will act as a bridge between complex research/consulting products and the general sales teams, helping them navigate $8M+ targets by imparting deep institutional and market knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Discovery: Act as the "heartbeat" of the team by using natural curiosity to uncover deep-seated client challenges and business drivers.
  • The Multiplier Effect: Work across several sales representatives to enable their success, effectively scaling your expertise to drive revenue far beyond an individual target.
  • Account Penetration: Create and orchestrate strategies to anticipate client needs and provide high-value business insights.
  • Situational Leadership: Operate within a team culture that prioritizes leadership development, preparing you for future people management roles within or outside of the BBS team.
  • Portfolio Mastery: Learn and sell a wide portfolio of technology research, business consulting, and marketing services to senior-level functions.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of sales experience or client management. Experience in a direct quota-carrying role is highly preferred.
  • Natural Curiosity: A proven track record of "strong discovery"—the ability to ask the right questions and challenge client thinking.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills with the ability to engage and influence senior-level executives.
  • Institutional Knowledge: Ability to hit the ground running by quickly mastering Informa TechTarget’s offerings and imparting that knowledge to others.
  • Mindset: Goal and action-oriented, with a desire for a "change of pace" from traditional sales into a high-level advisory and enablement role.
