The Sr. Project Logistics Manager over strategy and operations is responsible for the end-to-end strategic design, planning, and execution of complex transportation solutions. This individual will lead the development of specialized heavy haul execution strategy, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of over-dimensional and super-heavy cargo across project sites in the Americas. This role balances high-level strategic planning with hands-on operational excellence to manage costs, mitigate risks and optimize project schedules.
Strategic Logistics Development Develop and shape comprehensive transportation strategies, integrating multi-modal solutions (road, rail, marine) to meet complex project requirements, especially for heavy haul. Collaborate with global engineering teams during the FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and proposal development phases to foster cargo transportability to the identified destination.
Operational Execution & Oversight Guide and support the execution of high-risk heavy lift operations, ensuring all activities align with pre-defined technical specifications and safety protocols (trailers configuration, cranes, etc.) Liaise with Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls departments to foster understanding and integration. Orchestrate the end-to-end logistics sourcing and contracting process for project cargo, including route studies, RFI/RFQ/RFPs. Cultivate the performance of specialized heavy haul carriers in the field. Develop and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for route surveys, permitting, and diligent control of third party costs. Develop and deploy heavy haul contracting strategies on a long-term and per-project basis as required. Be solution-oriented and able to pivot quickly to minimize disruptions. Regularly meet with internal stakeholders to provide project updates and gather feedback. Build alignment on detention and demurrage charges as necessary. Ideally, you bring experience in finding common ground on legal terms and conditions. Provide reports to leadership as requested.
Risk Management & Compliance Perform detailed route feasibility studies and risk assessments for critical transport legs. Prioritize adherence to international and local regulations governing over-dimensional loads, including weight restrictions and environmental permits. Establish contingency protocols for transport disruptions to minimize impact on project schedules.
Financial & Performance Management Develop multi-million dollar logistics budgets for each assigned project, focusing on cost-efficiency while championing safety. Identify opportunities to advance Air Liquide’s operational excellence and streamline logistics processes. Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to transport lead times, equipment utilization, and safety incidents.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: International and/or domestic travel as needed for projects across the Americas. May be required to travel on short notice.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting or other business related field
Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.
7+ years of door-to-door project cargo logistics experience, with at least 5+ years in heavy haul / over-dimensional transport execution
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in logistics, business, management, or related field
10+ years’ experience in project logistics or related field.
