Manager, Engineering

Overview

We are looking for a passionate and experienced R&D Manager to lead our engineering teams at CyberArk India. You will play a key role in building and scaling high-performing teams that take pride in designing for scale, performance, and reliability, while following best practices such as rigorous code reviews, automated testing, and iterative development to deliver high-quality, next-generation software.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing engineering organization across multiple product lines.
• Hire, build, and scale engineering teams to support the growth plans of the India organization.
• Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and guide teams to adopt best-in-class solutions.
• Provide technical and architectural leadership in building next-generation Identity Security platforms.
• Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders to define product roadmaps and release plans.
• Act as an ambassador of CyberArk culture, driving strong engineering practices and team engagement.
• Develop future leaders by promoting leadership principles and mentorship within the team.
• Partner with HR and leadership on India site initiatives and operational excellence.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in building enterprise-grade software systems.
• 6+ years of experience in hiring, leading, and scaling high-performance engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on experience building enterprise-scale SaaS applications, preferably in Identity & Access Management domains.
• Strong foundation in software design, system architecture, and scalable systems.
• Experience designing scalable web applications; exposure to microservices architecture is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages, along with SQL and modern web development practices.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP); AWS experience is a plus.
• Solid experience working with Agile/Scrum teams (Dev & QA).
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow engineering teams, including conducting 1:1s and performance reviews.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and engineering best practices.
• Experience collaborating with Product Managers to define scope, priorities, and timelines.
• Hands-on knowledge of software security, multi-tenancy, scalability, and high availability.
• Strong understanding of enterprise applications and modern technology stacks.
• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Ability to stay current with emerging technologies and provide technical mentorship.
• Experience enabling teams to leverage AI tools for improved development efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
