POSITION SPECIFICS
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar under the direction of Dr. Derek Hall
Job duties include:
Conduct laboratory testing, perform data analysis, and develop the technical content needed to communicate the study findings
Responsibilities include executing corrosion experiments under simulated operating and offline conditions, analyzing results from advanced characterization methods such as X-ray computed tomography, interpreting corrosion behavior across different treatment conditions, and preparing figures, summaries, presentations, and technical reports
Qualifications and Requirements:
Ph.D. in corrosion science, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field by the start date
Experience conducting laboratory-based experimental research
Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
Experience preparing technical reports, figures, and presentations
Experience with x-ray CT characterization
