The Role: Technical Writer – Engineering Services
The Technical Writer supports the Engineering Services organization by developing, maintaining, and controlling high quality technical documentation that supports Gas Separation Solutions (GSS) and Fluid Management (FM). This role works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to translate complex technical information into clear, accurate, and compliant documentation for product lifecycle, manufacturing, installation, and service use.
What You’ll Do:
Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation supporting products, including SOPs, work instructions, service manuals, installation guides, and maintenance documentation
Translate engineering designs, specifications, drawings, and change information into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for manufacturing and service use.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to gather, validate, and approve technical content
Support engineering change processes (ECR/ECO) by updating documentation, managing revisions, and ensuring traceability and compliance
Create and update documentation required for new product introduction (NPI), sustaining engineering, and manufacturing changes
Maintain documentation within controlled document systems (e.g., PLM/EPDM or document control workflows) to ensure version control and audit readiness
Support audit preparation and compliance activities by ensuring documentation accuracy, completeness, and alignment with internal standards
Review and process redline, markup feedback, and technical updates from engineering teams to ensure timely document release
Author and maintain complex purification system documentation, including maintenance manuals, installation documentation, and service support materials
Review and support technical white papers and engineering documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
What We Seek:
Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Technical Communication, or a related technical field
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for technical documentation, formatting, and review
Experience developing and maintaining engineering or manufacturing documentation
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and change documentation
Strong written communication skills with attention to clarity, accuracy, and consistency
Ability to work cross functionally with engineers and operations teams to gather and validate technical content
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple documentation deliverables simultaneously
Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
Experience supporting engineering services, manufacturing, or NPI environments
Hands‑on experience creating SOPs, work instructions, service manuals, installation guides, and maintenance documentation
Familiarity with engineering change processes (ECR/ECO) and document revision control
Experience working with PLM/EPDM systems, document control tools, or controlled documentation workflows
Exposure to documentation for process equipment, industrial systems, or regulated manufacturing environments; experience with gas point of use and purification or high purity fluid handling system is an advantage but not required
