Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Test Conductor / Principal Test Conductor to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Integrated Product organization. This role is located in Palmdale, CA.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible to ensure engineering tests serve mission objectives and mechanisms are in place to execute the tests.
  • Responsible for testing all customer samples.
  • Oversees the operational aspects of engineering tests and serves as liaison to program, engineering and line management.
  • Reviews status of test requirements, manages schedules and prepares reports. Selects and supervises technicians during test.
  • Assesses anomalies and develops resolutions to documented procedures in conjunction with Test and Quality Engineering.

An ideal candidate will be methodical and well-organized with a keen eye for detail and an innovative problem solver. We are looking for a team-oriented individual with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility who can quickly adapt in a dynamic environment

Roles and Responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct comprehensive production testing at various integration levels
  • Troubleshoot and resolve test anomalies efficiently
  • Update and refine test procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency
  • Actively participate in Test Readiness Reviews and test-preparation briefings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless test progress
  • Coordinate test schedules with Managers, Operators, and Manufacturing Managers
  • Support overtime and adapt to off-hour schedules as needed
  • The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position.
  • Travel up to 25% may be required.

*This position may be filled at either level 2 or level 3 based on experience*

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent AND 6 years of related professional/military experience OR a Bachelor of Science degree AND 2 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree AND 0 years of related professional/military experience.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent AND 9 years of related professional/military experience OR a Bachelor of Science degree AND 5 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree AND 1 years of related professional/military experience.

Basic Qualifications for both Level 2 and Level 3:

  • General knowledge of aviation systems
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read/understand engineering blueprints/drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Access Program (SAP) access via a Program Access Request (PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Note: SAP/PAR will be upgraded once selected candidate is in role. Therefore, candidate must also be able to obtain and maintain upgraded SAP/PAR.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
  • Experience testing RF, ethernet, and electrical cables
  • Experience with Teamcenter

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
