Job description
At SOMFY, we believe that technical education and product knowledge are key drivers of customer experience, business performance, and long-term growth.
We are looking for a Technical Training Team Leader who will transform the way we approach technical trainings across the organization.
This is not a traditional training coordination role. We are searching for a hands-on leader and change driver who will design and develop a modern, scalable, and business-oriented training ecosystem - connecting technical expertise, product strategy, customer needs, and service excellence.
The role combines training transformation, people leadership, learning design, and close cross-functional collaboration. A key part of the role will be leading and developing a team of Technical Trainers, ensuring high-quality training delivery, strong competency development, and a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
You will work closely with the Product Management team to ensure training content and technical education programs are fully aligned with product roadmap, launches, positioning, and evolving customer needs.
This role plays a key role in strengthening competencies across employees, partners, and customers, supporting product adoption, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
In the future, the role is planned to evolve into a broader regional responsibility covering additional Eastern European countries.
Responsibilities
Training Transformation & Development
Analyze current training processes, tools, materials, and competencies to identify improvement opportunities and future capability needs.
Design and implement a structured training ecosystem.
Training Program Design & Content Development
Create and develop training programs for different target groups in close cooperation with Product Management.
Develop training materials including presentations, manuals, installation guides, e-learning modules, videos, tests, and knowledge bases.
Support product launches through dedicated training paths and educational materials.
Training Coordination & Delivery
Coordinate onsite, online, hybrid, and field training activities.
Manage training schedules, logistics, certifications, participant communication, and documentation.
Deliver selected trainings for internal teams and external partners.
LMS & Digital Learning
Support implementation and optimization of LMS and digital learning solutions.
Manage training catalogues, assessments, dashboards, and learning analytics.
Business Impact & Continuous Improvement
Measure training effectiveness and monitor business impact, including customer satisfaction and product adoption.
Continuously improve training programs based on business feedback, market evolution, and product changes.
Team Leadership
Coordinate daily activities of the training team and ensure effective project execution.
Set priorities, support development, and foster collaboration within the team.
Build a positive, high-engagement, learning-oriented environment aligned with SOMFY values and behaviors.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate closely with Product Management to translate product strategy and technical specifications into effective learning content.
Work closely with Technical Support, Customer Care, Service, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- University degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical/Mechanical Studies, Mechatronics or another related field.
- Min 5 years of experience in designing and delivering technical training programs.
- Previous experience in leading or coordinating a team, with strong people leadership potential.
- Experience working closely with Product Management, Technical Support, Service, or customer-facing technical teams.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into engaging, practical, and user-friendly learning experiences.
- Experience with LMS platforms, e-learning tools, and blended learning solutions.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and continuous improvement approach.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-functional, and international environment.
- Fluent English (minimum B2 level); Polish required.
- Experience in a technical, product-driven, manufacturing, automation, or smart solutions environment will be considered a strong advantage.
