Design Engineer – FRP/Tank Structures

The Design Engineer – Custom Composite Structures is responsible for the design, analysis, and certification of reinforced thermoset plastic (RTP) vessels and piping systems in compliance with ASME RTP-1, ASME NM.2, and EN 13121. The role involves performing stress and strain analysis, developing laminate designs, and validating performance through analytical and test methods. The engineer reviews and approves fabrication drawings to ensure compliance with design requirements, codes, and manufacturability, and supports the preparation of Fabricator’s Design Reports (FDRs) and ASME quality programs. This position requires strong knowledge of composite materials, laminate mechanics, and fabrication processes such as filament winding and contact molding. Working closely cross-functional teams, the Design Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring product reliability, regulatory compliance, and efficient execution of high-integrity composite systems.
