Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures related to IT, data privacy, security, resilience, and disaster recovery.
- Deliver timely IT support across offices, classrooms, and computer laboratories.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, clusters, and servers.
- Manage software installation, maintenance, and license renewals.
- Oversee outsourced IT projects, liaise with vendors, and monitor project progress to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Stay informed on emerging trends in hardware, software, and digital learning technologies, and recommend adoption where appropriate.
- Administer departmental websites and ensure their functionality, security, and accessibility.
- Set up and maintain AV equipment in MAE conference rooms to support teaching, meetings, and events.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for both hardware and software assets.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years relevant post-qualification work experience in IT system administration and support, including in IT infrastructure, server environments, networking, security, information systems and digital learning.
- Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
(Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
