About the role

MSS Security is currently seeking professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team at a busy shopping centre located in Shellharbour. This is a full-time opportunity offering stable ongoing employment within a dynamic retail environment.

As a Shopping Centre Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for retailers, staff, contractors, and members of the public. Successful candidates must be available to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.

This role offers an attractive pay rate of $27.91 per hour + superannuation + applicable shift loadings.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the shopping centre

• Monitor CCTV systems and security alarms

• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security risks in a professional manner

• Provide high level customer service and assistance to retailers and patrons

• Manage access control and contractor sign-ins where required

• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records

• Assist in crowd control and conflict resolution situations

Skills and Qualifications

• Current NSW Security Licence

• Certificate II in Security Operations

• Current First Aid Certificate

• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Flexible availability across a 24/7 rotating roster

• Previous retail or shopping centre security experience is highly regarded
