Job description
🚀 This is a hybrid role based in Bridgwater, supporting Hinkley Point C. Candidates must live within commutable distance or be open to relocating, with relocation support available to assist with the move.
You will support EC&I construction activities across site-based engineering work packages.

- Assist with EC&I construction readiness reviews and documentation checks.
- Review installation information against drawings, specifications, and procedures.
- Support site teams with electrical and instrumentation installation issues.
- Help coordinate technical responses between construction, engineering, and quality.

- Contribute to compliance with nuclear safety and environmental requirements.
- Support design alignment with construction strategy and site constraints.
- Escalate technical risks appropriately to senior engineering colleagues.
- Maintain clear records for construction and engineering decision-making.
🛠️ Nuclear experience is not essential, but is of course welcome. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment, your skills and approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us.
We also recognise that the perfect candidate rarely exists. If you feel you meet around 80% of the criteria and are motivated to develop further, we would strongly encourage you to apply.
- Degree, HNC, or HND in relevant engineering discipline.
- Electrical, control, or instrumentation engineering background.
- Understanding of construction or installation environments.
- Awareness of electrical systems, instrumentation, or control equipment.
- Able to read drawings and technical documentation.
- Comfortable raising and tracking technical issues.
- Interest in nuclear, energy, or regulated infrastructure projects.
- Willingness to learn from experienced site engineers.
- Clear communication across technical and construction teams.
