Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Food Technologist located out of our corporate office in Bloomington, MN. Working with the Manager – FSQR Support Services, implements components of the ADQ quality program to ensure the continuous supply of safe, consistent, wholesome, in-specification products to DQ restaurants. Models and acts in accordance with company’s guiding quality control principles.
Key Accountabilities Include:
- Evaluates food, treat and packaging items as part of on-going scheduled product sampling and audit program. Reviews results and compares to product specification to ensure product wholesomeness, integrity and compliance to standards. Tests and evaluates current menu items to ensure the integrity, compliance to standards and products are to specification. Manages monthly QA sample requests and QA check in log.
- Monitors on-going quality control data for compliance to product specifications. Reports and follows up on non-conforming results and trends to QA product leads, leadership, supply chain and respective suppliers for corrective actions.
- Performs DQ data management system administrative tasks as requested including, but not limited to, creating new QA evaluation forms.
- Updates QA testing procedures, control products lists, and audit forms. Manages annual shelf life extensions and supports various projects. Provides critical thought and input to improve DQ quality assurance programs
- Applies technical knowledge and skills to solve problems relating to product manufacturing and quality control. Assists product category leads with problem solving, as assigned. Supports R&D kitchen activities as requested.
The US national base salary range for this position is $62,755 - $73,737. The base salary range displayed reflects the targeted hiring range for positions across all US locations. Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, work location and relevant education or experience.
- B.S. in related field is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of planning, developing, monitoring and verifying Quality System programs and processes.
- Capable of assimilating large quantities of data, sorting relevant facts and provide concise, cogent descriptions of situations.
- Relationship building skills with the ability to create mutually beneficial relationships with both internal and external clients.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate/present to a variety of audiences.
- Familiar with inspection and testing sampling and practices and food regulations. Ability to apply sound technical principles and practices to problem solving. Knowledge of food technology, food microbiology, safe food handling procedures and foodservice sanitation practices.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and requests simultaneously, within an intense, deadline-driven environment.
- Working on a personal computer for extended periods of time. Ability to work occasionally on evenings and weekends, as necessary to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to work in a QA/Product Development lab and factory environments for extended periods of time.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.

Work Environment
Most positions located out of our global headquarters in Bloomington, MN will work a hybrid work schedule where you will work 3 collaboration days a week. Additional in office time may be required to support team/project needs.
