Reports to: Head of Data Analytics & BI Development
You will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of interactive client, investor and operational team facing dashboards using Tableau, Power BI and other visual analytics tools. You will work closely with clients and senior stakeholders to capture their BI requirements, conduct data analysis using SQL, Python (or other open-source languages), and visualise the insights in an impactful manner.
Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)
- You’ll engage with external clients, vendors, project representatives, and internal stakeholders to gather analytics and dashboard requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- You’ll maintain and enhance the existing BI database architecture, performing exploratory data analysis and defining business‑critical features to support advanced reporting and insights.
- You’ll design and deliver best‑practice data warehouse and analytics solutions using on‑premise or cloud platforms, leveraging ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Python, PowerShell, Alteryx, or other open‑source technologies.
- You’ll optimise SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and views using dimensional data modelling principles to ensure efficient and reliable data retrieval.
- You’ll manage tickets and delivery updates effectively, document analytics solutions and processes, and resolve IT and data issues—including legacy system challenges—through help desk and development requests.

- You have a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or equivalent professional IT certification, with at least 5 years’ experience in a data engineering, developer, or database-focused role.
- You bring strong, hands‑on expertise in SQL Server (2016+), T‑SQL, and cloud data platforms, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and cloud data stores across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- You have proven experience designing end‑to‑end data architectures and dimensional data models, working with structured, semi‑structured, and unstructured data, and delivering batch, near‑real‑time, or low‑latency ETL/ELT solutions using tools such as Fabric, SSIS, Python, dbt, Kafka, or Airflow.
- You are proficient in analytics, BI, and visualisation, with hands‑on experience using Power BI, Tableau (and ideally QlikView, Looker, or ThoughtSpot), Python/Spark libraries, Excel (including PowerPivot), and frontend or embedding technologies such as D3, React, or Node.js.
- You communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking, collaborate across cultures and teams, and show a results‑driven, adaptable mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and innovation in line with Group Values (Authentic, Bold, and Collaborative).
