Schedule: Full-Time | Overseas Deployment Assignment
The CT/X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic X-ray and CT procedures while ensuring patient safety, radiation protection, accurate documentation, and compliance with clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ordered X-ray and CT imaging procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging exams.
- Operate imaging equipment and adjust exposure settings.
- Use immobilization devices and proper positioning techniques.
- Explain procedures and respond to patient questions.
- Document imaging services in EMR and department records.
- Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols.
- Use shielding devices and proper exposure techniques to minimize radiation exposure.
- Follow contrast media and emergency response protocols when needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
- Participate in mass casualty exercises and emergency response activities.
- Complete required compliance and regulatory training.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff.
- Perform additional assigned duties as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent Radiologic Technologist experience, including 6 months within the last year.
- Current unrestricted radiologic technologist license or ARRT certification required.
- Current ARRT CT certification/registration required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Graduate of an approved Radiology Technician program leading to a diploma, certificate, or associate degree.
- U.S. Military Radiology Technician technical school certification (4R0X1, 68P, HM-8451) may satisfy education requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and imaging procedures.
- Must read, write, and speak English.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder required.
- Valid U.S. Passport with at least 18 months remaining before expiration.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an MRPT U.S. Government security clearance.
- Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the assignment duration.
- Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on military installations or government healthcare contracts.
- Prior government subcontractor or prime contractor experience.
- Active U.S. Government clearance preferred.
- Experience supporting emergency response or mass casualty exercises.
