Responsibilities Essential Functions. • Completes the start of day processes, including powering equipment and uncovering keratometer/autoreftracter, visial field,Ascan room if needed. • Properly rooms patients based on standard operating procedures and assists the physician during the examination and procedures. • Performs diagnostic studies and treatments as ordered by the provider • Processes and assists provider with requests, including handling medication refill requests and completing forms requested by patients. • Handles patient and clinical messages: • Distributes, reviews, and teaches patient education • Prepares and processes paperwork for the charts; make sure ordered tests have been performed and results are present. • Completes the end of day processes per standard operating procedures. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. • Performs all other duties as assigned.
