Job description

Overview Job Title: Data Product Management Principal Employer: PepsiCo, Inc. Location: 7701 Legacy Drive, Plano, Texas 75024 Responsibilities Define and manage data product roadmaps and requirements using Agile and SAFe methodologies; proficient in tools such as Azure DevOps for backlog management and delivery tracking. Conduct backlog refinement and PI planning sessions with global data teams to prioritize work, align on product objectives, and identify potential risks or dependencies. Create user stories, product roadmaps and technical requirements based on ongoing business needs. Use SQL or Python to extract sample data and analyze the structure of datasets. Review and analyze existing and newly requested products, dashboards and applications (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure they meet the evolving needs of business teams. Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipelines and ingestion processes meet business requirements. Work with data stewards to ensure data quality and compliance with company policies. Collaborate with data scientists to support advanced analytics and develop models that drive business insights. Prepare presentations for weekly leadership meetings, summarizing project status and insights. Facilitate cross-team workshops to align data solution strategies and business priorities. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data product usage and effectiveness. Engage with business stakeholders to gather feedback and drive product adoption. *Telecommuting permitted 20%: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the PepsiCo office in Plano, Texas. Qualifications Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science and three (3) years of experience in data-focused roles within the consumer-packaged goods retail industry OR Master's degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Business Administration or Computer Science and one (1) year of experience in data-focused roles within the consumer-packaged goods retail industry. Must have three (3) years of experience (or 1 with master’s) with: Defining and managing data product requirements and roadmap using Agile and SAFe methodologies; proficient in Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.; and Effective communicator with experience presenting complex data solutions to executive stakeholders. Must have two (2) years of experience (or 1 with master’s) with: Translating business problems into technical requirements; Delivering enterprise-scale data, analytics, and AI solutions in the CPG and retail sectors; Familiar with data platforms and tools such as Azure, Databricks, SAP, Salesforce, etc.; and Leading big data solutions/advanced analytics or product management. Must have one (1) year of experience with: Leading global cross-functional data teams to deliver data and analytics solutions aligned with business needs; SQL, Python, Power BI, and Tableau for data analysis, visualization, and insight generation; and Strong understanding of data management, governance, and modeling principles to ensure end-to-end data optimization and delivery. *Domestic and international travel required 20% to US, Mexico, Spain, and India.
