The Opportunity  

In the Digital Video & Audio Machine Learning Team we build, train, maintain and deploy powerful machine learning technologies to our video and audio products. Adobe Sensei Features like Scene Edit Detection, Auto Reframe, Media Intelligence or Text Based Editing originated from this group.  

With an increased focus on AI & ML throughout our apps, we are looking to grow and enhance our technologies to cover an even wider array of key customer workflows. 

What You Will Do 

As an Engineering Manager (AI/ML) at Adobe within the Digital Video Audio Group, you’ll lead, empower, and expand a high performing engineering team focused on building nextgeneration AIenabled audio & video editing solutions.  

You will bring strategic AI leadership alongside deep domain and engineering guidance, partnering closely with product teams, architects, design, operations and customers to deliver innovative experiences that drive success for Creatives around the world. 

Your role will include:  

People Management and Team Culture 

  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, customer focus, and cross-disciplinary innovation. 

  • Inspire and guide a team of full‑stack engineers in pioneering, architecting and delivering Desktop and Web applications with integrated AI capabilities. 

Technical & AI Strategy 

  • Partner with architects, product managers and researchers driving the technical vision for incorporating AI centric features into products, balancing customer needs, creativity, performance, reliability, and ethics. 

  • Oversee architectural decisions that ensure reliability, scalability, and responsiveness of AI‑powered experiences. 

Experience & Qualifications 

  • Process & People Management Skills: Builds teams people don't want to leave — supportive, fast-moving, high-trust. Strong mentorship and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to foster collaboration and innovation. Proven track record guiding engineering teams through the full lifecycle of large-scale, production-quality software delivery. 

  • Technical Leadership: 5+ years of engineering experience building consumer-facing desktop applications with large user bases. Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into production software. Comfort translating research into shippable product features. Interest in AI/ML research. 

  • Product Expertise: Deep familiarity with pro-level audio and video editing workflows. Experience with Premiere Pro or comparable NLEs is a strong plus.
