In this role, you will be a key member of the team focused on creating supporter contact lists and delivering data requests, as well as supporting analysis and reporting initiatives. You will work with teams to ensure data solutions deliver value by deepening supporter engagement, driving results, and creating efficiencies. You are a resourceful problem solver that is motivated to learn and improve. This role will report to the Manager of Reporting & Development.

You will:

  • Develop, test, and deploy data solutions using a high level of expertise in querying data from our data warehouse.
  • Implement effective list management practices; automate/optimize the list build process, validate the data quality, track list usage, report on results, and recommend improvements.
  • Partner with Data Engineer to create standard views in the data warehouse that integrate multiple data sources (CRM, MailChimp, Finance) and maintain clear, up-to-date documentation outlining data definitions, transformation logic, source mappings, and usage guidelines to support consistency and knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Support various stakeholders to extract relevant data for analysis and work with the Manager of Reporting in building dashboard solutions (Power BI) that deliver key performance metrics and forecasting.
  • Support the Foundation’s data quality efforts by partnering with Business Operations to fix and maintain the integrity of our data.
  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student, preferably in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related field. Co-op accepted.
  • Experienced with SQL – able to write structured and efficient queries.
  • Proficient with Python – strong understanding of core programming principles, able to transform data, and maintain automation scripts and internal utility libraries.
  • Proficient with Git – able to version control scripts and collaborate using branching and pull requests.
  • Strong documentation skills – able to clearly capture business processes and code logic to support collaboration and future maintenance.
  • Experience in dashboard development, data analysis, research, or similar field considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts is considered an asset
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
