Job description
1) GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Works co-operatively and collaboratively with other Physiotherapist to provide rehabilitation services to In and Out-patients.
2) JOB DESCRIPTION
To carry out professional Occupational therapist duties as delegated by HOS (Head of Services). Exact duties will normally vary on a rotational basis but every effort will be taken to follow stated CPD needs and objectives of individual staff.
Ensure appropriate professional assessment, care and attention is given to all patients.
To maintain internationally recognized standard of physiotherapy practice.
To ensure appropriate recording of any incident/ accident involving patients or family members under care of physiotherapist.
To record any fault in any equipment / machine in the Equipment Faulty Report Book and ensure appropriate action is taken and followed up.
To be committed to continuing personal professional development to ensure all of the above are properly carried out to the highest professional standards.
To carry out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:-
To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons.
To co –operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty.
To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer.
To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health.
Participate actively in any other new service that is introduced by the department.
Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and / or Hospital Accreditation are adhered to and records maintained, if and when these programs are implemented.
Ensure the policies on patient’s and family’s rights are addressed at all times.
Ensure compliance to Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008).
Ensure adhere to Standard People Practice (SPP).
3) JOB REQUIREMENT
Degree in Occupational Therapy.
Few years’ experiences in other hospitals or practices.
Possess certifications in BLS.
Proficient in writing and conversing in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Caring, honest, and responsible workers.
Microsoft Office literacy.
Able to work as a team.
Good communication skills.
