Production Engineer – Billet Preparation Section

Department Responsibility

• To work in team for achieving organizational goals.
• Adhere to statutory company policy.
• Cross checking of  PPC data entry. data analysis of production, stoppages & traveller days. 
• Daily updation of white board & conducting white board meeting & discuss cross functional issues on white board for safety,  maintenance & other.
• Act to resolve breakdowns as fast as possible & inform problems which are likely to come.
• Monitoring of daily production trend with its reasons & remedial action for decline for efficient operation of section & talk to respective operators.
• Update your awareness for all section activities including operating of the machine by self interest & initiation.
• Monitor FIFO for production process flow to meet delivery precision goals.
• Daily discuss with senior for production plan & other sectional matters.
• Maintaining & Monitoring quality system(ISO-9001), Environment system(ISO-14001), OHSAS system (ISO-45001).
• Ensure optimum utilization of all the resourses
• Eliminate to run production & process by deviation,in case it is needed keep record for it.
• Maintain excellent  house  keeping in the section.
• Encourage shopfloor people to report maximum nos of nearmiss to prevent accidents.
• Maintain, Monitor & encourage shopfloor people for 5s & TPM system in the section.
• Communicate to respective dept & follow up for breakdown of machine & other problems.
• Monitoring, Maintaining & controlling of tool life & availability of stock in the store.
• To guide employee in their daily production & other activities.
• To create strong team spirit to achieve objectives of organization.

EHS Responsibility

• Communicate and promote the Alleima EHS Policy and Safety Principles.
• Report on Hazard & Near miss related to Environment Health & Safety.
• Systematically monitor and continuously improve EHS performance in their area of responsibility.
• Follow EHS guidelines and procedures, reporting hazards and potential improvement areas and participating in improving their work environment.
• Work according to Alleima Safety Principles towards the vision of zero harm
• Maintain safety, cultural, production, environmental & customer related discipline in the section.
• Cost control as & where possible & required.
• Get your self trained with different machines in the billet preparation section.
•  Involve in activities other then above  as & when  given by management
• Maintaining Kaizen master sheet
• Prepare Monthly MIS report for kaizen
• Conducting Monthly TPM audit
• Conduction Quarterly 5S audit 
• Preparation of Quarterly & Yearly Best Kaizen Presentations
• Coordination for Kaizen Awards & Recognition

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

• To understand different work instructions, SOP’s of all the machines of Billet section.
• To understand & implement down the line different systems/policies of  Alleima
• Knowledge how to carry out data entry in PPC system.& use of PPC for other application.
• Knowledge how to calculate different data’s for tool life ,operating parameters. cycle time, productivity etc.
• Technical knowledge for process of billet manufacturing including quality requirement.
• Technical knowledge of production tollings.
• Basic aptitude for taking training of automatic PLC/CNC controlled machines & systems.
• Planning,  organising & handling group of people for efficient operation.
• How to monitor & achieve overall objectives of the section.
• Understanding of 5s & TPM process & documents
