Job description
Please note: this is an Extended Contract role that can be supported remotely from within Canada. Optimal support location is in the Calgary area.
We invite you to help us shape the future of agriculture. At Syngenta, we believe every employee has a role to play in safely feeding the world and taking care of our planet. To support this challenge, Syngenta’s Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) program team is currently seeking a Business Systems Lead.
The Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) program is a Crop Protection initiative focused on accelerating and improving the customer experience by modernizing our ways of working, professionalizing our commercial operations, and driving productivity consolidation. One workstream within this North American project is focused on redemption tools and processes.
The Business Systems Lead is crucial to the success of modernizing Syngenta Canada's Marketing Programs Redemption System onto the Salesforce Channel Revenue Management platform.
Accountabilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the Canadian business requirements are effectively translated into scalable, user-centric solutions.
- Partner closely with the CA Programs team, CA Data Operations, NA IT, NA Commercial Platforms, and Salesforce Administrators to design, configure, and optimize the custom redemption solution.
- This is a project-term role covering the full implementation lifecycle: design, development, implementation, go-live, and post-production support through stabilization.
- Act as the representative for the Canadian business, supporting necessary changes and ensuring redemption requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct impact analysis for proposed changes across redemption processes and related systems.
- Manage customization/configuration requests from start to finish, including requirements gathering, project timeline development, and implementation.
- Oversee implementation, integration, and optimization of enterprise platforms, including Salesforce Channel Revenue Management and Databricks.
- Lead end-to-end change management activities to drive user adoption and minimize disruption.
- Proactively identify system enhancements to increase value and usability by regularly engaging with key stakeholders and end users.
- Communicate clearly and consistently using Jira and Confluence to provide visibility into project status, roadmap progress, identification of key risks, mitigation planning, and issue resolution tracking.
Required:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with Salesforce platform administration and configuration, with demonstrated expertise in complex, multi-cloud implementations.
- Proven experience in project management and change management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
- Proficiency with project management and documentation tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Understanding of data architecture/data warehousing principles, data modeling, and integration patterns.
Desired:
- This role demands a balance of technical expertise, business acumen, and stakeholder management to drive adoption and deliver measurable outcomes in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience conducting User Acceptance Testing and managing deployment cycles.
- Experience with Salesforce Channel Revenue Management (ChRM) or similar incentive/rebate management platforms.
- SAP knowledge and experience.
What We Offer:
- We offer a competitive base salary and incentive bonus potential, combined with challenging and meaningful work, learning and career development opportunities and a great team environment.
- A culture that celebrates diversity & inclusion, promotes personal and professional development and offers flexible work options to meet both your work and personal needs.
- Comprehensive Benefit offering, Pension and Group Retirement program with company match, and Profit Sharing.
- Focus on Wellness and innovative programs that support overall health and wellbeing such as annual Lifestyle Account and free Headspace App.
- Progressive Employee Policies and Programs include a Flexible Work Location approach, and a vacation policy that provides up to 30 days’ vacation for all employees.
