Systems Engineer

Overview BigBear.ai is seeking a energetic and organized System Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be actively involved in the entire lifecycle of complex systems, from initial design and integration to deployment and maintenance. You will play a key role in driving our mission forward by ensuring our technical architecture is robust, scalable, and aligned with program goals. What you will do System Design & Integration: Contribute to the architectural design and integration of complex, enterprise-level systems Documentation: Develop and maintain project documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and test plans Task Management: Utilize strong organizational skills to track and manage technical tasks and milestones Infrastructure Management: Support the implementation of strategic plans for infrastructure management and automation Collaboration: Act as a technical point of contact, collaborating between the engineering team and program management What you need to have Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI w/Polygraph Education & Experience: 3 years of experience in a systems engineering role with a B.S. in a technical discipline, or 4 additional years of experience in place of a degree Technical Expertise: Knowledge of systems engineering principles , standards, and the full development lifecycle Experience with network profiling , fingerprinting, and security principles Demonstrated ability to manage and organize technical tasks and priorities Experience contributing to the design or architecture of IT systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working within a collaborative team environment What we'd like you to have Leadership Skills: Previous leadership experience Web Hosting Expertise: Experience with web hosting/monitoring Modern Architectures: Familiarity with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda ) and/or containerization (e.g., Docker ) Mobile Technology: Background or familiarity with mobile technology systems and infrastructure Agile/DevOps: Experience working within an Agile or DevOps environment Certifications: Relevant professional certifications About BigBear.ai BigBear.ai is a leading provider of AI-powered decision intelligence solutions for national security, supply chain management, and digital identity.
