Director - Workforce Strategy About the role Aon’s Talent Solutions team helps clients make better people decisions by combining advisory expertise with analytics and technology! We are looking for a leader to build solutions and manage consultants selling and delivering solutions related to workforce strategy, such as strategic workforce planning, organizational design, location strategy, and workforce intelligence. Key responsibilities: Lead strategic workforce planning engagements for client organizations, enabling them to anticipate talent needs, support growth, and improve operational resilience. Define multi‑year workforce strategies that balance demand, capacity, productivity, skills, and cost, aligned to clients’ business and financial objectives. Design workforce planning frameworks, processes, and governance models that integrate workforce insights with operational and financial planning. Collaborate with Aon analytics and technology teams to shape and implement workforce planning tools and models (e.g., forecasting, capacity planning, scheduling) across onsite, remote, and global workforces. Convene client and Aon subject matter experts to refine forecasting methodologies and incorporate seasonal, cyclical, and market drivers into workforce models. Analyze workforce, capacity, and productivity trends and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior client leaders. Partner with client finance teams to quantify the financial impact of productivity and efficiency initiatives and support ROI‑based decisions. Develop and deliver executive‑level presentations and contribute to business development by shaping proposals and positioning Aon as a thought leader in workforce strategy and planning. What you’ll bring Experience 5–8+ years in consulting, people analytics, HR technology, or adjacent fields; hands-on exposure to job architecture, rewards, or assessment programs is a strong plus. Practical experience applying AI/ML or advanced analytics to workforce or HR use cases (e.g., skills inference, role redesign, workforce planning, talent assessment). Skills Structured problem solving and hypothesis‑driven consulting; confident facilitation with senior stakeholders. Ability to translate technical concepts (LLMs, embeddings, model evaluation) into business outcomes. Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Python/R, SQL) or enterprise HR platforms; familiarity with Aon’s Compensation Manager and GenAI delivery tools is advantageous. Clear, compelling communication—written, visual, and verbal—tailored to executive audiences. Education Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, business, or HR field required; advanced degree (MS/MA/MBA) or relevant certifications (e.g., data science, AI ethics) preferred. How you succeed Client impact: Deliver engagements that measurably improve decision quality, speed, and adoption of AI in HR. Collaboration: Work across Talent Solutions practices to integrate advisory, analytics, and technology into cohesive offerings. Innovation: Contribute to the evolution of Aon’s AI workforce methodology and repeatable solution assets; provide practitioner feedback to product teams on tool enhancements. Quality & ethics: Uphold responsible AI standards and Aon’s risk management principles in every client deliverable. Role parameters Travel: ~20% (client‑facing, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder meetings as needed). Work environment: Remote‑first with collaboration across North America; flexibility to align to client time zones. We offer you Aon offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and regular part-time colleagues, including, but not limited to: a 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions; an employee stock purchase plan; consideration for long-term incentive awards at Aon’s discretion; medical, dental and vision insurance, various types of leaves of absence, paid time off, including 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, 15 days of paid vacation per year, paid sick leave as provided under state and local paid sick leave laws, short-term disability and optional long-term disability, health savings account, health care and dependent care reimbursement accounts, employee and dependent life insurance and supplemental life and AD&D insurance; optional personal insurance policies, adoption assistance, tuition assistance, commuter benefits, and an employee assistance program that includes free counseling sessions.
