Job description

You will ensure that product development and manufacturing are seamlessly aligned from concept to industrialization, contributing to robust and scalable assembly processes worldwide.

Your contribution to something big:

  • Driving Simultaneous Engineering activities in close collaboration with Development teams (Mechanical Design, Hardware, Layout), Centers of Competence, manufacturing specialists, and suppliers.
  • Supporting and evolving best practices and lessons learned within the Simultaneous Engineering framework.
  • Identifying new assembly technology requirements and contributing to the creation and update of technical guidelines.
  • Leading mechanical sample assessments for international projects.
  • Defining and managing containment and corrective actions for concept and process-related issues.
  • Planning, moderating, and documenting assessment meetings, ensuring clear follow-up and decision tracking.
  • Monitoring and supporting project maturity and readiness using tools such as RTC and Jira.
  • Creating and aligning Device Assembly Specifications (DAS) and related technical documentation.
  • Acting as a key stakeholder for DFMA, PFMEA, and DFMEA within project platforms.
  • Moderating and following up Process Chain Development (PCD) activities.
  • Performing assembly and disassembly risk assessments, providing structured feedback to design and process teams.
  • Defining and assessing customer and single-part packaging concepts.
  • Providing technical input to support management and project decision-making.

What distinguishes you:

Education

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical field.

Experience

  • Relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, ideally in product industrialization or assembly processes.

Know-how

  • Solid understanding of materials (metals and polymers).
  • Experience with 3D CAD tools (NX Unigraphics preferred).
  • Knowledge of Finite Element Method (FEM).
  • Experience with 2D mechanical design and GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Familiarity with SAP and digital engineering tools.

Languages

  • Good command of English, both spoken and written.
