Job description
As an Events Manager, you will drive the strategic development of the Events team to meet current and future needs of the EEMEA business. This encompasses the entire operational processes related to Events, ensuring a “Best in Class” service is created and maintained through developing & implementing solutions to maintain and improve Franchise/HCP satisfaction, maximize cost efficiency and demonstrate effectiveness. You will lead and inspire the events team members across the EEMEA region to deliver, focusing on continuous improvement, ensuring alignment and sharing best practice. You will collaborate with global SME’s in events, compliance and finance to deliver events ‘Excellence’ with in the region and will be seen as an example internationally.
What you will do
Lead the strategic development of the EEMEA Events team to become a trusted business partner, aligned with the overall events and MedEd strategy.
Manage and develop geographically dispersed Events team members, including onboarding, performance management, delegation of workload, succession planning, and recruitment where required.
Define, deliver, and monitor KPIs for the Events function; regularly review team structure, processes, systems, and tools to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
Drive strong collaboration with Marketing, Commercial, Franchise, Product, Professional Affairs, and Facilities teams through regular communication, VOCs, and meetings.
Oversee event execution across EEMEA, including complex meetings (e.g. NSM, MYMM), logistics, invoicing, faculty booking, and virtual/hybrid event delivery.
Ensure full compliance with Ethics, Quality, GDPR, SOX, and country‑specific regulations, including resolution of any events‑related compliance issues and audit readiness.
Own events budget management in partnership with Finance, including tracking, forecasting, and reporting to leadership.
Partner with Marketing and Education Programme leaders to build, execute, and continuously optimize the annual MedEd/events plan, promoting best‑in‑class, adult‑learning event experiences.
What you need
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree desired but not essential
8+ years of experience including People Management role
Previous event management experience or project planning
Experience of adult learning philosophies
Preferred:
Work experience in a Medical Device/Pharmaceutical company
Experience of the EEMEA region
Knowledge of MedTech Compliance
CAPS contract management system
Experience of dealing with many stakeholders to complete all required work including any complex requirements
Salary information will be provided during the recruitment process.
Travel Percentage: 30%
