Opportunity Highlights

Holy Cross Medical Group (HCMG), in partnership with Holy Cross Health and the Phil Smith Neuroscience Institute, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neuropsychologist to join our growing, multidisciplinary neuroscience team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

This is a full-time, hospital-employed position within a well-established and expanding neuroscience program known for delivering comprehensive, patient-centered neurological care. The Neuropsychologist will play a key clinical role providing neuropsychological evaluations and testing for patients with neurological conditions, as well as pre-procedural cognitive and psychological assessments for surgical and interventional spine and pain procedures.

Highlights of the Opportunity:

  • Integrated role within the Phil Smith Neuroscience Institute, collaborating closely with Neurology, Neurosurgery, Interventional Spine & Pain, and Advanced Practice Providers
  • Focus on neuropsychological evaluations and testing, including cognitive, behavioral, and emotional assessment related to neurological disease and injury
  • Conduct pre-surgical and pre-interventional psychological evaluations to support surgical planning and pain management procedures
  • Monday–Friday schedule, supporting strong work life balance
  • Supported by a robust neuroscience team including 22 physicians and 14 advanced practice providers
  • Access to advanced imaging, comprehensive diagnostic services, and strong operational and administrative support

About the Phil Smith Neuroscience Institute:

Established in 2008 and expanded through major philanthropic investment in 2014 and 2016, the Phil Smith Neuroscience Institute delivers comprehensive neurological care through subspecialty clinics, innovation, and a collaborative, team-based model. The Institute continues to grow to meet the evolving neurological and neurosurgical needs of the South Florida community. 

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and testing for patients with neurological conditions, including cognitive, emotional, and behavioral disorders
  • Provide pre-procedural psychological clearance and assessment for surgical and interventional spine and pain procedures
  • Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, pain specialists, APPs, and care teams to support diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient outcomes
  • Generate timely, clear, and clinically actionable reports integrated into the medical record
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning
  • Support quality, access, and patient experience initiatives within the neuroscience program 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology or Neuropsychology
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Clinical Neuropsychology
  • Completion of an APA accredited internship and fellowship in neuropsychology
  • Experience with neurological populations and neuropsychological testing
  • Interest or experience in pre-surgical and pain procedure evaluations preferred
  • Strong commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Collaborative mindset and comfort working in a multidisciplinary, hospital-based environment
  • New graduates and experienced neuropsychologists are encouraged to apply
