The HR Manager solves complex organizational challenges through people-related solutions. Develops and accountable for execution of people strategies that support Alcon’s mission: “to help people see brilliantly”. Delivers on Alcon foundational principles (customer, innovation & people) to drive value creation for Alcon in the areas of people, organization and culture. Fosters an inclusive work environment and is an advocate of Alcon’s values & behaviors.

Partners with managers to deliver core HR services and ensures an optimal management of HR processes and associate experience, with a focus on people, organization and culture. Has in-depth knowledge of top talent and provides coaching to managers to help them accelerate talent readiness.

On a regular basis collaborates with the Human Resources Centers of Excellence (COEs) to execute strategies for how we attract, hire, develop, and retain world-class talent.  Executes programs to support Alcon associates, including compensation, performance, diversity and inclusion, as well as talent development initiatives.

The HR Manager maintains strong relations with Alcon leaders as well as the HR Leadership Team.  Supports the HR COEs with the design of global HR initiatives and programs. Understands the unique environment of the region and partners with managers and leaders to address potential issues in a proactive manner.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Full understanding of employment laws and regulations in the country.
  • Partners with the HR COEs to support the design and roll out corporate programs
  • Manages complex multi-location HR projects.
  • Drives business success by coaching and advising teams on associate experience initiatives, such as Associate Experience Dashboard, Recognition programs, etc.
  • In partnership with people leaders delivers Alcon’s core HR services and ensures an optimal associate experience.
  • Ensures timely execution of all people-related processes in the region.
  • Coaches business leaders on all HR-related topics (e.g. change management, talent management and career development, etc.).
  • Accountable for driving high-quality talent bench, through selection process, equitable compensation practices and adequate talent development.
  • Supports diagnostic intervention and problem resolution strategies to contribute HR point of view to l business issues.
  • Responsible for Employee / Labor Relations & Legal Requirements (e.g. Works Councils (as applicable), and partners with global ER on complex ER matters)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of years and education of directly related experience.

Experience

  • 10 years' experience in in Human Resources, Business, or related field including demonstrated people leadership.

This role is requires 5 days per week onsite.
