About This Job
The Analyst is responsible for participating on an operational team that supports our clients. They help our clients grow by completing daily workloads in an accurate and timely manner. The Analyst will demonstrate the ability to support one or more of the following functions: Account Services, Alternative Investments, Cash Management, Client Communications, Conversions, Corporate Actions, Mutual Funds, Settlements, Stock Receipts, Tax, Trading and Transfers. Other responsibilities may arise as part of our ever-evolving work environment.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Investigate and assess alerts for potentially suspicious trading activity (insider trading, market manipulation tactics).
- Analyze funds transfers in conjunction with trading patterns to apply discernment between expected or typical investment patterns and activity that warrants further review for using an investment/trading account to commit securities fraud or launder funds.
- Demonstrate adept research skills in utilizing open-source Internet sources and social media to conduct thorough investigations.
- Escalate unusual or problematic trading patterns in customer accounts, effectively communicating the identified red flags through written notes and team meetings to senior analysts and the AML Manager.
- Apply exceptional written communication skills.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel-based skills to create basic Pivot tables in order to analyze transactions.
- Attend applicable regulatory training and review regulatory notices to maintain a current, thorough understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing issues.
