Job description
Hendrick Motorsports a leader in the automotive racing industry, is currently seeking a race engine assembler.
Summary: Under the general direction of the Engine Production Manager, the race engine assembler is responsible for assembling engines and measuring, inspecting, and assembling components to ensure maximum operating efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Read and interpret assembly blueprints and specifications manuals and plan assembly or building operations.
- Maintain and lubricate parts and components.
- Inspect and prep components for assembly.
- Set and verify critical clearances.
- Inspect and replace damaged parts in assemblies.
- Maintain and lubricate parts and components for assembly.
- Verify conformance of parts to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Fasten and install piping, fixtures, and components to form assemblies or subassemblies using hand tools.

Education/Experience:
- Requires working knowledge of basic mechanical skills and competencies. Must have a proven track record of building race engines. Must possess a sound understanding of internal combustion engines.
