Consultant – Maintenance (Fixed Plant Mechanical)

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

This position is responsible for managing the maintenance driven Projects across the operation, including managing the implementation of work management processes and developing maintenance programs, projects schedules to maximize plant availability, manage all elements of the contractors engage to help deliver the expected Projects outcomes and the logistic of parts, tooling and equipment required to execute a successful Projects.

• Manage the execution of the fixed plant maintenance activities based on maintenance plans and strategies,  and breakdown
• Root cause analysis is completed for all equipment failures, work quality issues and operational incidents
• Mentor and develop maintenance personnel to ensure best practice operations through on the job training opportunities
• Play an active role in formal development programs for apprentices, trades people and maintenance leadership personnel

Educational Background:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent

Work Experience and Background:

• 3 years Supervisory and Leadership experience
• 7 years Maintenance Planning and/or Maintenance Reliability
• 3 years Projects, Scheduling, and Turnaround Management

Specialization/License:

• Professional Driver’s License
