Job Description:

  • Provides religious and spiritual care to patients, families, associates, and others experiencing emotional and spiritual distress.
  • Offers counsel and support tailored to diverse spiritual orientations and cultures.
  • Collaborates with healthcare teams to address the spiritual needs of individuals in various settings.
  • Offers guidance and support during critical moments and life transitions.
  • Develops and implements spiritual care plans based on individual needs and preferences.
  • Facilitates spiritual rituals and practices to support emotional and spiritual well-being.
  • Provides consultation on ethical concerns related to spiritual care.
  • Documents spiritual care provided to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to integrate spiritual care into overall treatment plans.
  • Conducts spiritual assessments to identify specific needs and appropriate interventions.
  • Offers training and support to staff on providing culturally sensitive spiritual care.
  • Engages with the community to promote spiritual well-being and support.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • N/A


Education:

  • Bachelor's [Required]
  • Master's [Preferred]


Field of Study:

  • Bachelor’s degree in theology, spiritual care or pastoral ministry


Work Experience:

  • 1+ of pastoral ministry or chaplaincy experience [Preferred]


Additional Information:

  • Minimum of 1 unit of ACPE, Inc. accredited CPE [Required]
  • Minimum of 2 units of ACPE, Inc. accredited CPE [Preferred]


Licenses and Certifications:

  • Ordained Minister (ORDM) [Preferred] OR Commissioned Minister Credential (ADM) [Preferred]
  • Ecclesiastical Endorsement Certificate (CHAPLAIN) [Preferred]
  • Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$41,607.72 - $77,390.36
